Our commitment
Orvie is used by patients, doctors, nurses and administrators, often under time pressure and sometimes with a disability or low vision. Accessible software is part of safe care: if a clinician cannot read a chart, focus a control or understand a status, the patient is at risk. We treat accessibility as a product requirement, not a compliance afterthought.
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This statement describes where we are today. We do not yet claim full conformance or an independent certification, and we say so plainly below. The statement covers the website, the clinical workspace and these legal pages. It does not cover Jitsi video rooms or other third-party sites.
We publish the interface in English and Bahasa Indonesia. These legal documents carry a Bahasa Indonesia summary; the full text of each section is currently in English.
What is implemented
The following is implemented in the current build.
Keyboard and focus
- Every interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard. We do not add positive tabindex values that would break the natural order.
- A visible focus ring (2 px accent outline with a 3 px offset) is drawn on every focused link, button, field and menu item.
- These legal pages start with a “Skip to content” link that appears on focus.
- Dialogs, menus, tabs and selects are built on Radix primitives, which manage focus, restore it when a dialog closes, and close on Escape.
Screen readers and semantics
- Pages use landmark regions (header, navigation, main, footer), a single first-level heading and a logical heading order.
- Form fields have associated labels; errors and statuses are rendered as text, not colour alone.
- Data tables use header cells with scope, and each table has a caption. Decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology; the brand images carry text alternatives.
- Vital-sign sparklines and waveforms are decorative and marked
aria-hidden; the current numeric value is always present as text beside them.
Vision, colour and motion
- Text and background colour tokens are checked for at least 4.5:1 contrast in both light and dark themes. Status badges pair colour with a text label.
- The layout reflows for phone, tablet and desktop widths; dense tables scroll inside their own frame rather than pushing the page sideways.
- Browser zoom and text resizing are not blocked.
- When the operating system asks for reduced motion, animations and transitions are reduced to almost zero and smooth scrolling is turned off.
Media and language
- The product-tour video does not autoplay, has native controls, and ships with an English captions track. The chapter list beneath it gives the same story in text.
- Indonesian summary blocks are marked with
lang="id"so a screen reader pronounces them correctly.
Senior mode
Senior mode is a legibility mode, not a page zoom. Turn it on with the accessibility button in the header. The choice is stored for one year in the dv_senior cookie, and it can be turned off the same way.
When senior mode is on:
- small interface type is raised across the product, including 11–13 px labels that become 14–16.5 px;
- buttons, inputs, selects and text areas get a minimum height of 44 px;
- muted text is darkened for stronger contrast;
- translucent panels become opaque and backdrop blur is removed, which helps readers who are sensitive to low contrast or motion;
- the layout keeps its structure, so navigation does not jump or overlap.
Senior mode does not replace a screen reader, browser zoom or your own display settings. You can combine it with all three. A few third-party surfaces, such as the Jitsi room, are outside our control and do not inherit the setting.
Known limitations
We know about the following gaps. They are open work, not claims of conformance.
- No independent audit yet. We have not completed a WCAG 2.2 AA audit with an external assessor, and we do not hold an accessibility certification or a formal conformance report. This statement is our own assessment.
- Bahasa Indonesia coverage is incomplete. Some clinical screens and older strings are still English-only, and the legal documents provide an Indonesian summary rather than a full translation. A patient who reads only Indonesian may meet English text in parts of the product.
- Small default type. The clinical interface is deliberately dense and uses 11–13 px labels in places. Senior mode raises them, but the default may still be too small for some readers. We recommend senior mode or browser zoom if that is your experience.
- Video captions are English-only. The product-tour video has an English captions track but no Indonesian captions, audio description or sign-language version. The reel is also a placeholder until the full walkthrough is recorded.
- Full screen-reader coverage is unverified. We have not yet completed a screen-reader audit of every clinical screen, especially long tables and the device-vitals views. Reports help us prioritise the screens that matter most.
- Third-party video. Jitsi controls its own interface. Captions, keyboard behaviour and contrast inside a call depend on Jitsi and on the device you use.
- No easy-read or sign-language version yet. We can provide this statement and the legal documents in another format on request.
Reporting a barrier
If something blocks you, tell us. Email privacy@deepvertex.tech with the subject “Accessibility barrier” and include:
- the page or screen, and its address if you have it;
- what you were trying to do and what happened instead;
- your browser, operating system and any assistive technology you use;
- how we can reach you, and whether you would prefer a reply in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
We acknowledge reports within two business days and aim to give you an assessment and a plan within ten business days. A fix may take longer; we will tell you what we can do in the meantime, including providing the information in another format or arranging a different channel through your clinic.
If you need urgent medical help, do not wait for an accessibility reply. Call 119 or 112, or contact your clinic directly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, ask for your report to be escalated to our data protection officer and legal team. We will not treat you differently for reporting a barrier.
Changes and contact
This statement is version 1.0 and was last updated on 22 October 2026. We review it at least once a year and whenever a material accessibility control changes. If we complete an independent audit, we will publish its scope and results here.
